David Michel, AMFT

David is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with a background in trauma work, co-occurring disorders, and family and couple’s therapy. He holds a Master of Arts in Psychology from California Southern University and a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing with a minor in Comparative World Literature from California State University, Long Beach. His therapeutic approach integrates evidence-based practices such as EMDR, CBT, DBT skills, narrative therapy, sandtray therapy, grief work, and mentalization-based treatment. David has experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds, including LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent individuals, professionals navigating workplace stress, and those facing high-acuity concerns.
